Environmental concern has taken on judiciary dimensions since the first environmental conference that was held in Stockholm in 1972. During this conference, many concepts about the environment and its significance were changed.
This conference also influenced developments between the two Earth Summits, the first held in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and the second held in Johannesburg in South Africa. In order to find a balance between preserving the environment and its resources and development, all previous environmental legislations need to be revised in accordance with the international environmental conventions so as to achieve the comprehensive planning of development and consistent development concepts in all of its sectors.
